Thatchmaster was formed in 1992 in Durban, by Christo Fick, who is still the sole member. The staff that started with the business was all recruited in the rural Midlands / Drakensburg area, for their specialised skills and workmanship and some are still working with Thatchmaster.
We have professional experience and a focused service delivery is one of our major priorities.

Thatchmaster is a member of the Thatchers Association of South Africa with membership number 036. We are also registered with the National Home Builder Registration Council N.H.B.R.C. of South Africa with membership number 6049.

Thatchmaster complies with all standards of work as specified in the National Building Regulations. All our timber is CCA treated and SABS approved. Our grass is always of the best quality. Thatchmaster is a professional business entity that conducts business within the framework of the code of conduct.

We are currently assessing and serving on several Corporate Insurance Companies, as well as various Loss Adjusters panels, in Durban and in the greater KZN region.
